Spotted Dog Designs is a small business laser engraving and embroidery studio located in Wurtland, Kentucky.  We are a husband and wife team. Both of us are currently public school teachers with Ed teaching high school social studies and Missy, a middle school technology teacher. Missy serves as the principal designer, while Ed completes prep, paint, and finish work in the wood shop.  We enjoy fusing the technology of laser work with the uniqueness of traditional Appalachian crafts and the time honored tradition that is Kentucky bourbon. We specialize in bourbon barrel heads and staves and related bourbon barrel crafts.  Our craft niche has fit nicely with our interests and professions and has provided the creative outlet we both desired. We also enjoy creating wood and acrylic home decor items, holiday items, and jewelry. We have recently added embroidery to our small business.  As always, custom orders are accepted! Our German Shorthaired Pointer, Zeke, the shop namesake, can often be found hanging out, sleeping, or begging for treats (or any food for that matter) in the studio.
